Four strands
| Strand | Student outcome |
|---|---|
| Understand | Explain that AI predicts from patterns and can be wrong or biased |
| Prompt | State goal, audience, details, and constraints in a request |
| Evaluate | Check facts, logic, sources, and whether they can paraphrase the claim |
| Own the voice | Revise in their words; disclose tool use when required |
Grades 3–5
Introductory units on what AI is (and is not), clear asks, checking drafts, and retelling in the student’s own words. Prefer school-approved tools and paper checklists before 1:1 devices.
Grades 6–8
Extended work on hallucinations and bias, prompt craft, evidence cycles against classroom sources, and academic integrity with disclosure.
